Great unit for price! A bit heavy hair for light density description. Could use larger curl rods for slight body wave. Otherwise completely satisfied!

Hi Cate, It is human hair, so any hair dye would do the job. It could be the professional hair dye used in hair salon or simple shampoo in hair color from drug/grocery store.
